The Town
Partick is an area of Glasgow on the north bank of the River Clyde, just across from Govan. It is considered as one of the more pleasant areas in Glasgow in which to put down roots. It is a bustling, evolving community near the University of Glasgow where gourmet coffee shops share Dumbarton Road with chip shops and curry houses, and local pubs host karaoke nights, folk music sessions and big screen soccer matches . It features an eclectic mix of housing options, a wonderful local transport network and plenty of things to see and do, with Glasgow just a short hop away. There are a number of gyms and health centres in the area as well as being home to the West of Scotland Cricket Club and Partick Thistle FC's home ground in the Maryhill area. Partick has two underground stops at Kelvinhall, at Partick Cross and Partick at the Partick Railway Station.
